Brampton Tourist Information Centre

This centre is run by an enthusiastic team of volunteers, based in the Moot Hall, situated in the centre of the historic rural town of Brampton. The Volunteers have a lot of information about both the town and its fascinating history (with references to Bonnie Prince Charlie, Oliver Cromwell and the artist Sir Edward Burne-Jones) and the local attractions, which in addition to Hadrian’s Wall, include Walby Farm Park, Lanercost Priory, Talkin Tarn and the RSPB Reserve. The area around the Moot Hall is used by Brampton Farmer’s Market on the last Saturday on the month.

The Brampton Tourist Information Office is open from 1000 to 1700, Monday to Sunday, from March to mid-October and with reduced hours during other months.
