TOWER KNOWE VISITOR CENTRE
Has an interactive exhibition of the building of the lake, as well as stunning views, a coffee shop, information, souvenirs, and a starting point for many of the activities that Kielder has to offer.
CALVERT KIELDER
Calvert Kielder provides outdoor activities for people of all abilities. With clay pigeon shooting, a zip wire, canoeing, orienteering, archery, climbing, and water boating just some of the activities that you can try.
KIELDER WATERSIDE
With panoramic views of the reservoir, this is the ideal base to recharge and refresh or take part in an action packed day of activities. Activities include archery and junior archery, fencing, crossbows (over 18's only), table tennis, Crazy Carts ,snorkelling & sea scooters (underwater propellers to power around the pool), water walkerz (walk on water in the pool inside an inflatable ball), disc golf, pentanque (French Boules).
KIELDER SALMON CENTRE
As the largest salmon hatchery in England and Wales, this is the perfect place to learn all about the life cycle of the Atlantic salmon, and to find out why and how the Environment Agency raises young salmon here to be released into the River Tyne.
KIELDER OBSERVATORY
We have the largest expanse of dark night sky in the whole of Europe, thanks to minimal light pollution. Winter nights are darkest and best for viewing deep sky objects such as galaxies, while in summer you can view the beautiful Milky Way, passing comets, shooting stars and see the Sun's surface using our incredible telescope.
KIELDER WATER BIRDS OF PREY CENTRE
Home to over 60 birds including eagles, owls, falcons, hawks and vultures, as well as a family of wallabies, this is the perfect place to learn about the conservation and care of the birds, as well as to see a flying demonstration, and to interact with the beautiful birds of prey.
