The Heart of Hadrian's Wall is home to some of the finest locally produced food and an excellent way to sample this is to visit one of the local Farmers' Markets held in the area.

Hadrian's Wall Farmers' Market runs on the 2nd Sunday of each month from 10.00am to 2.00pm in and around Greenhead Village Hall and Hexham Farmers' Market runs on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month from 9.00am to 1.30pm in Hexham Market Square.

There are also pubs and hotels with a long history of serving wholesome and delicious meals. With vegetarian options, ales from our micro-breweries and much locally reared lamb and beef, there is food to suit all tastes and budgets.

While walking, cycling or exploring stop off at one of the many tea shops and cafes along the way filled to the brim with freshly baked cakes, scones, soups and delicacies.

Whatever you choose you'll see we are proud of our food and the service we offer. You will receive the warmest of welcomes in the Heart of Hadrian's Wall.
