Shaftoes is a quiet 4 roomed Bed and Breakfast, near the banks of the South Tyne in the village of Haydon Bridge. We are a home from home for holiday makers, walkers and cyclists; those doing the rigors of the Pennine Way or Hadrian Wall routes as well as those enjoying the John Martin Trail or local country walks and cycle paths. The village boasts good road and rail links making it an ideal base for those looking to venture around the various sites of Hadrian's Wall as well as those planning to see the wider sights of South Northumberland.
All of our guest rooms have their own ensuite, with a walk in shower, whilst our twin room comes with accessibility support. Each room also has tea and coffee making facilities, access to free wifi and a range of other additions.
We serve a range of breakfasts from a hearty full English, including bacon and sausage from the village butcher, to large bowls of slow-cooked porridge or a batch of breakfast pancakes, and can meet the needs of most dietary requirements.
There is parking available for each room and we also have an EV charger which can be booked in advance.
You can be sure of a warm welcome from Lois and David.
